Skeleton Making!
In Year 1 we made our own skeletons in Arts Week using art straws. We had some brilliant skeletons.
Spooky Arts Week in Year 1!
Here are a few pictures from our first Spooky Arts day on Monday.
As you can see Year 1 have loved the theme for the week and we have been very creative as well as a little messy!
We used charcoal and chalk to create spooky Halloween pictures then our fingers to smudge. We certainly have fantastic artists in our class!
World book day
Year 1 had lots of fun dressing up for world book day and enjoying listening to stories written by the amazing authors in year 4!

In science, we have been learning about our senses! Today we have been learning about our sense of taste. We tried grapefruit, lemon and some treats! We managed to capture some faces as they tasted the lemon! We caught Miss Fagan eating the grapefruit! We don’t think she liked it!

African Art Week – the Beginning!
This week is African Art Week! We started off by making our own masks, based on African animals, to wear during the week. Then we enjoyed African drumming. We learnt and practised lots of different patterns! Here are a few pictures!
Vive Le France!
Bonjour! Today was International Day! Year 1 and Year 2 worked together and enjoyed lots of different activities. We tasted some French foods, inlcuding croissants with different toppings, French bread, pain au chocolat and crepes! We did a Treasure Hunt where we learnt about important French landmarks. We also tried the famous French style of painting called Pointillism – but we used our fingers! We had a great day! Tres Bien! Au Revoir!
